Hidden camera found in bathroom at Ben Taub Hospital

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A hidden camera has been found in a bathroom at Ben Taub Hospital and an investigation is underway.

According to the Harris Health Systems, which oversees the public hospitals, the incident occurred last Thursday. A Ben Taub staff member discovered the camera at about 11:30pm. It was in a co-ed bathroom on the fifth floor that is primarily used by staff members. The bathroom, which is not locked to the public, is used by the public on occasion.

Hospital officials turned the camera over to police.

The Houston Police Department is handling the investigation. There are no suspects or arrests at this time. If there are victims recorded on the camera, HPD investigators will be reaching out to them.
