Officials investigate fatal house fire in southeast Houston.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A grandmother in her seventies was killed in a house fire Saturday night in southeast Houston.



Firefighters were called to the home in the 8100 block of Glenhollow Drive just before 9pm.



Not long before smoke began billowing from the house, the woman's granddaughter ran outside screaming for help and people responded, calling 911.



The woman was eventually found beneath debris that had fallen during the fire.



The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
