HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office says tipsters recently helped them make two unrelated drug busts in Humble and northwest Harris County.

The Sheriff's Office says a tip about suspected drug activity led them to an apartment at 19800 Atascocita Shores in Humble. When deputies arrived, they say they smelled marijuana, and saw marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in plain view, along with a shotgun.

After getting a warrant, deputies say they found drugs, scales, ledgers, and packaging material, and cash at the apartment. The drugs found are estimated to have a street value of around $19,000, according to the sheriff's office.

Cory Miller, 22, was arrested for possession of marijuana with a deadly weapon enhancement. A felony warrant was issued for a second person not yet in custody.

In an unrelated case, deputies responded to a house in the 7200 block of Skylight in northwest Harris County after receiving several tips about drug activity there.

When deputies arrived, they say they smelled marijuana coming from three individuals in the driveway.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies entered the house and reportedly found marijuana, scales, drug ledgers, narcotics packaging material, and a gun reported stolen in 2001.

Four people were arrested, including Justin Brown, 26, for possession of marijuana with a deadly weapon enhancement and possession with intent to deliver with a deadly weapon enhancement; Brandon Brown, 20, for possession of marijuana; Amber Rios, 26, on a felony theft warrant; and Chasse Brown, 30, for driving without a license with prior conviction and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
