Good Samaritans rescue 4 people from burning boat

GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Four people were rescued from a burning boat off the Galveston Jetty Saturday.

A distress call came in around 6:30pm that there was a boat on fire. Nearby good Samaritans were able to get the four occupants off the boat immediately.

The Coast Guard also responded to the scene. The vessel was a total loss. There is no word on how the fire started.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
