99-year-old woman loses home to massive fire
A heartbreaking loss for a 99-year-old woman after a fire in Houston's south side

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A major fire has left a 99-year-old woman homeless on Houston's south side.



The fire broke out at the home on Palmer Street at Oakdale Street just before 2:30 this morning.

The woman who owned the home says she has been there since 1950. Even more tragic, she had just marked the end of a massive renovation yesterday.



The fire victim was not living in the home at the time of the fire, but she is left to pick up the pieces this morning

Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the home appears to be a total loss.



There is no word yet on what may have caused the fire.



Arson investigators were seen with dogs looking for a possible cause already this morning.
