HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firefighters put out flames that broke out in a large pit of garbage.
It happened around 11pm last night the solid waste refuge transfer station located on Koenig and Rhea in southeast Houston.
A passerby saw flames coming from the facility and called 911. Firefighters quickly arrived and saw the fire coming from the garbage pit.
Firefighters say they didn't have any problem putting out the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to the warehouse.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
