HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Several families are picking up the pieces after a two-alarm fire damaged four townhomes in Houston.
The fire broke out around 10:30pm at a complex at Memorial Drive at Kickerillo Drive.
When firefighters arrived, flames could be seen shooting out of the roof of a two-story townhome. Fortunately, everyone made it out safe.
Windy conditions played against firefighters working to contain the blaze, spreading the fire to neighboring homes. Houston Fire Department says around 60 firefighters were required to put out the fire.
Investigators say a car fire under a carport may have spread fire to the buildings.
The Red Cross has responded to the scene to help the families in need.
