Burglary suspects flee scene after spotting eyewitness

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An eyewitness to an attempted burglary in southeast Houston may have stopped the suspects from stealing anything.

It happened around 4am this morning at a Citgo station off S. Sgt. Macario Garcia and Navigation.

An eyewitness called Houston Police to alert them about an attempted burglary at the store. The witness told police the suspects rammed a Ford F-250 truck into the side of the building multiple times.

Police say once the suspect saw the witness, they drove off and ditched the truck a few blocks away. It does not appear they got anything from inside the store.
