Driver critical after truck hauling boat crashes into freeway wall in Stafford

STAFFORD, TX (KTRK) -- Police are investigating whether a driver suffered a medical emergency moments before hitting the median on the Southwest Freeway in Stafford.

It happened around one this morning on US 59 near Highway 90.

Police say a truck pulling a fishing boat hit the center wall and went several hundred feet before stopping.

The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

No other injuries were reported.
