Police searching for suspect in fatal hit-and-run accident in north Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was found dead near a roadside in north Harris County earlier this month, and police are looking for any tips associated with his death.

Crews discovered Kirk Williams' body October 7 in the 300 block of Gulf Bank Road while surveying the area and called authorities. Investigators believe he was walking down the road when he was struck by a vehicle. They don't know what time it happened and they have no witnesses.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved may be a 2000-2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, possibly with damage in the front.

A reward of up to $5,000 will offered for any tips leading to the identity and arrest of the hit and run suspect.
