Detective and K-9 partner nab $1.5M in cocaine during traffic stop

ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- The Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force was out earning its pay yesterday and made a huge bust!



On Tuesday, while working highway interdiction, the team conducted a traffic stop of a tractor trailer rig for traffic violations on U.S. 59 north at FM 2218 in Rosenberg. While investigating, the interdiction team and K-9 partner located 48 bundles of cocaine concealed in two suit cases located in the trailer section



Charges are pending in the case. The cocaine weighed approximately 115 pounds with a street value of nearly 1.5 million dollars.
