HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An investigation is underway after a woman's body was found in a vehicle outside a pizza restaurant in east Harris County Saturday. Authorities now say she was stabbed several times.
Police arrived at the Peter Piper Pizza restaurant on the East Sam Houston Parkway near Wallisville Road Saturday at around 4pm. The body had been discovered by a security guard, who noticed the car had been parked there for two days.
According to investigators, the deceased woman who appeared to be in her early 20s was found stabbed in the back seat.
The restaurant remained open during the investigation.
"This is a children's place," said customer Joanna Guajardo. "There are children all around this place, and for a body to be found in a car, I mean, yeah. ... All I saw when I arrived was just the tape. I didn't know what was going on until we heard there was a car with a body in it."
Police have not determined a motive and no suspects have been identified.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
