HPD: Children discover parents' bodies in apparent murder-suicide

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A husband shot and killed his wife before taking his own life Sunday morning at a home in southeast Houston, say police.

Police were called to the house in the 9500 block on Gardenbridge after getting a phone call from the couple's children.

There were four children in the home, between the ages of 1 and 19, who found their parents' bodies in the master bedroom. The children told police their parents had been arguing and took it behind closed doors before the shooting.

Police are still investigating.
