Child killed in two-vehicle crash in north Harris County

The child was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital but was later pronounced dead
A child is dead after a pickup slammed into a car in North Harris County.

Authorities tell us the driver in the truck was traveling southbound on Sciaaca Drive and failed to stop at the designated stop sign. Instead, the driver plowed through four lanes of traffic and eventually crashed into a vehicle that was heading eastbound on Cypresswood.

One of the passengers in the vehicle suffered severe injuries and had to be taken via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital where they later died. The other three passengers in the vehicle were taken to the hospital via ambulance and are expected to survive.

As for those in the truck, authorities tell us no one inside that truck was injured. So far no one has been charged in this fatal accident.

The victim's ID has not been released.
