Body found in school's parking lot

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A unsettling mystery was revealed this morning at sunrise in the driveway leading into a school parking lot.

Harris County deputies found a man's body at Carter Academy on Fallbrook Drive. Aldine ISD police received the call from a cafeteria worker and responded.

The school is closed for summer recess. However, there are round-the-clock school district patrols at campuses. The academy was believed to have been checked last night, which means the body wasn't there until early this morning.

The body is believed to be that of a man. He is clothed.

Harris County homicide detectives are handling the case, however they are not commenting, saying that any information given out has to come from the Harris County Sheriff's Office public information staff.

When contacted, the office would only confirm that an investigation was underway and that they had no information to give.
