Blinn College student from Houston found slain on Brenham road

BRENHAM, TX -- A Blinn College student has been found slain on a road in Brenham and police are trying to determine what led to the shooting death of the freshman.

Autopsy results are pending on 20-year-old Trey Alan Kurtz of Houston.

Brenham police late Thursday night responded to a 911 call about a body on a street. Authorities say Kurtz was shot at least once. No one was immediately arrested.

Investigators have asked anyone with information about the case to contact police in Brenham, about 70 miles northwest of Houston.
