Biker chase turns deadly in Kingwood

KINGWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- A police chase in Montgomery County ended this morning with a biker dead on the side of a road.

The biker crashed around 12:30am in Kingwood on Kingwood Drive.

It's not yet clear why Montgomery County deputy constables were pursuing the biker, but deputies tell us the biker ran a red light and slammed into an SUV.

The biker died at the scene.

The SUV driver suffered minor injuries.
