PD: 2 men and woman shot in SW Houston neighborhood

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police said a man and a woman drove to a pharmacy parking lot after they were shot in a southwest Houston neighborhood overnight. Police believe one other person who was dropped off at the hospital was also shot in the same incident.

Authorities responded to a shooting in the area of Rodeo Square and Bellaire at around 3 a.m., where detectives found several shell casings.

Houston police were then told of a man and a woman found shot in an SUV three miles away at the Walgreens on Highway 6 and Bellaire. The pair told law enforcement that they were shot in the Rodeo Square area. The male victim was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries.

The woman is expected to survive, police said.

Authorities were later informed of a third wounded person who was dropped off in the driveway of West Houston Medical Center. The injured man was then taken to another hospital for treatment. They believe this person was also shot in the same neighborhood.

Police did not immediately disclose what led up to the shootings.
