A Montgomery County horse riding instructor has been arrested for allegedly sexually asssaulting a child.

A 38-year-old Montgomery County horse trainer and riding instructor was arrested Thursday, accused of sexually assaulting a teenage female riding student.

Michael Hogan is charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child. Investigators said the victim was older than 14 at the time of an alleged assault earlier this year.

Thursday morning, the Triple H Horse Farm in Oak Ridge North was raided by the Precinct 3 Constable's Office. Computers and electronic devices were said to have been seized, and Hogan was taken into custody.

According to Matthew Rodrigue with the constable's office, Hogan is believed to have contacted students on social media sites like Snapchat and by text message.

"In the case we're working, he lured a young female to an area hotel where he committed two counts of sexual assault of a child, which is a second-degree felony," he said.

Not long after the constable's office posted a news release about the arrest and raid, Rodrigue said they had "another complainant come forward with information on this person, and we'll be taking to them." He asked anyone else with similar complaints to contact investigators.

Hogan is the son of the farm owner, who also boards horses at the 60-acre facility. The constable's office describes it as a popular horse training facility.

Hogan's attorney, Sam Cammack, argued that the same allegations had already been investigated by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office earlier this year.

"It involved the same complainants," he said, blaming it on backlash from "a horse deal gone bad" and adding that "it's politically motivated because it's that time of year."

"Michael Hogan is well-respected in the equine community. If it goes to a grand jury, he'll be no-billed. If it goes to a jury, he'll be found not guilty," Cammack said.

Investigators are urging anyone with additional information to call 281-364-4211.
