A train carrying gravel derailed overnight in Navarro County

NAVARRO COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A train is partially submerged under water in Navarro County after it derailed overnight.

Two crew members were on the Union Pacific train when it hit the water, but they were able to get out.

A water rescue team picked up both employees.

That train hit high water and derailed just north of Corsicana, which has seen at least 16 inches of rain in some places.

The Navarro County Office of Emergency Management says several train cars are still submerged.
