A man and a woman are charged after a heroin syringe was allegedly left within reach of a child, records show

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man and woman are accused of leaving a heroin syringe on the floor of a home in northwest Harris County where a child could have access to it, according to court documents.

Harris County authorities arrested and charged Marissa Cathryn Moore, 23, and Zachary Smith, 22, Tuesday with endangering a child younger than 15 years old.

It's unclear whether the child was hurt.

Both Moore and Smith are held on $2,000 bail.
