Commuters in Atlanta are dealing with yet another traffic problem: a sinkhole.

ATLANTA, Georgia (KTRK) -- Officials and motorists in Atlanta are left dealing with another roadway issue: a sinkhole near the campus of Georgia Tech.

The sinkhole appeared earlier this week, but officials aren't yet sure when the roadway will be repaired.

Earlier this week, a motorcyclist was critically injured when he hit a portion of Interstate 20 that had buckled three feet into the air. The incident has forced the closure of the highway's westbound lanes approximately 20 miles southeast of downtown Atlanta.

In late March, a large fire caused a portion of Interstate 85, a major thoroughfare to downtown Atlanta, to collapse completely. The accident is expected to snarl traffic in the city for months while emergency repair work is completed.
