HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Family and friends gathered Tuesday afternoon to remember a tire shop owner shot and killed during an attempted robbery in southwest Houston.

According to Houston police, the store owner was unloading merchandise in front of the store in the 13000 block of Almeda when three suspects with guns pulled up.

Garcia tried to stop the suspects. He was shot twice and died at the hospital.

Police have only described the suspects as four young, adult black males who are believed to have fled the scene in a light blue or silver Chrysler 200.

Garcia's family has created a Gofundme page to help raise money for funeral expenses.
