18-wheeler cab crushed when truck slides off IH 610

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A tractor trailer apparently slid off the roadway in southeast Houston this afternoon, crushing the vehicle's cab under the weight of the trailer.

The accident happened after 2pm on 610 near Woodridge. A witness tells us the driver was not seriously injured. He apparently walked away with just a scratch on his head.

There were no reports of any other vehicles involved in the accident. A couple of lanes were blocked until they cleared the accident.
