Man designs fairy tale storybook to propose to girlfriend

SAN FRANCISO, CA (KTRK) -- If you were thinking of proposing to your girlfriend, you may want to consider how to step up your game after you see this.

When Eric Page decided he would propose to his girlfriend, he definitely put a lot of thought into it.

Knowing that his soon-to-be fianceé loved fairy tales as a kid, he created an elaborate storybook inspired by her childhood favorites and gave it to her as an unforgettable present.

Eric explains, "It's a fairy tale story with two main characters; Superman Santa (me) and Ms. Gingerbread (her)...To advance to the next chapter, my girlfriend (fiancée!) had to solve a puzzle that was unique to us. When she got to the last chapter, the last puzzle opened up to show her the ring that I made for her. I was down on one knee and asked the question. Unbelievably (to me), she was shocked when she saw the ring!"
