Protestors hold up signs in Bush airport, challenging an executive order signed by President Donald Trump.

While their signs and stories are all different, they are united against Trump's executive order on immigration.

Protester Nicole Jingtin Lu said, "If Trump decides China is on that list, I wouldn't be able to come back to this country after visiting home."

Crowds at Bush grew so large that HPD closed the entrance to any new protesters.

Samer Kadour, a U.S. citizen who immigrated from Syria, said, "We work, we pay taxes, we went to school here and have masters and bachelors. We don't want to feel like a second degree citizen. I'm in fear now."

Protesters marched through downtown streets earlier in the day near Discovery Green. The march could be seen along the perimeter of the Super Bowl's NFL Experience. It was organized on Facebook, with more than 1,000 people in attendance, police said.

"Yes, there is a Super Bowl event at Discovery Green this weekend. It is free to the public and you can enter with bags and small signs, but likely not large signs. Large signs will have to stay outside at the entrances," the post reads.

During the downtown march, community leaders joined Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who called the order unconstitutional.

"We're leaving in limbo those individuals who have legal documents in different airports around the world," said Rep. Jackson Lee.

Outside, demonstrators could be seen from one end of the terminal to the other, In one corner, you could see a quiet moment of reflection as three men were seen kneeling in prayer.

Even Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner took to Twitter to give his own 'executive order.'

Protests across the country saw thousands come out, including at New York's JFK airport.

The husband and father of a Houston woman and child was detained there Saturday before eventually being released.
