HFD battles 2-alarm fire in SW Houston
HFD was called to a 2-alarm fire at an apartment complex in SW Houston on Sunday afternoon.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Firefighters are monitoring a two-alarm apartment fire in southwest Houston. The flames are out but an exterior wall is at risk of collapsing, emergency crews said.

Houston police officers worked to keep residents away from the building on the 7700 block of Corporate Drive. Firefighters said the same building burned a little more than a year ago.

Residents said owners put a fence around the damaged building last year but did not lock the units.

"Whatever they can do to get the fire to stop, they got to do it. Because there's a lot of kids out here and they have to get everything right," said resident Miimii Martinez.

No injuries have been reported.
