Fugitive pops out of trunk, struggles with officer during stop

An Idaho police officer wrestled with a fugitive after he popped out of the trunk during a traffic stop.

It comes amid a string of officer shootings over the last week.

After the officer heard a noise coming from the trunk, the officer asked the driver if someone was in there.

Turns out, yes, there was: it was her fugitive son.

He tried to get out, then he and the officer wrestle until back-up arrived. His mother told officers, "Don't shoot him, it's a toy gun."

The suspect did, indeed, have a toy gun.

He's now in jail.
