Driver stopped at red light shot with high-powered rifle

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police want to find the person who opened fire on a man with a high-powered rifle, all while he sat in his car in southeast Houston.

This all happened at 9:30 last night on MLK and Bellfort.

Police say the victim was stopped at an intersection when a pickup pulled up and someone began firing.

The victim is now in critical condition at a Houston hospital.
