HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston was busting at the seams in the early 80's, one of America's fastest growing cities.

With that growth came problems, and one of them was the sex trade. ABC13 took a look at the problem in a week long series on prostitution and sexually oriented businesses.

ABC13 legendary consumer reporter Marvin Zindler had his opinions about the problem. Here's a monster Zindler rant on prostitution from November 17th, 1983

Houston's "inner-city" was also big news in the early 80's. The future of Allen Parkway Village and Jeff Davis Hospital was hotly debated, and in this report, ABC13 anchor Melanie Lawson examined the future of the 4th Ward.
