Katherine Whaley reports on the 24th annual Art Crawl

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The 24th annual Art Crawl is taking place in downtown and EaDo. Dozens of artists are opening their studios, homes, or workplaces to the public. The event allows the community to witness artists at work, learn about the art-making process, and purchase art.

"It's just a wonderful opportunity for local artists to connect with people who live here who want to be involved in the art community and stuff like that," artist Stephanie Gonzalez said.

You are encouraged to take your bike or walk, or take METRORail to the University of Houston Downtown Station.

The crawl lasts from 10am-9pm on Saturday. Admission is free.
