Parents question teacher situation
Parents say they have questions about a teacher under investigation. Courtney Fischer reports.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- This morning, parents met with the principal at Looscan Elementary on the north side. That's where an associate teacher has been removed, but not charged after he was accused of inappropriately touching and kissing first-graders.

Parents are demanding answers after a teacher was removed from the classroom

Veronica Lopez has wants answers about the substitute teacher inside her little girl's school. She said, "Where is he? Is he detained by an HISD police department? Is he being questioned about what's happening to the girls?"

At least three first grade girls told their parents this teacher kissed them on the mouth, and it's been going on for three weeks.

Parents of other students say he touched their kids and made them uncomfortable.

Guadlupe Ortiz says her daughter doesn't want to go to school anymore because the teacher hugged her too tightly.

Ortiz said, "I was mad. They are so small, 6-year-olds, that's crazy"

The allegations are being taken seriously by HISD. The substitute teacher was removed from the classroom Friday. He has not been charged with anything. About 25 parents showed up outside Looscan Elementary asking -- what's going on?

Lopez said, "When I hear a first grade teacher molesting the girls, I was here first thing in the morning."

The principal refused to see them. They refused to leave.

And then, their persistence paid off. Moms and dads went inside, ready with their questions.

A parent said, "They're not doing nothing...they're just writing down notes...just saying the same thing, this is going to be taken care of, it's going to be taken care of. At this point, we don't know nothing."
