Driver dies after slamming into pole near Katy Fwy
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A person has died after a crash that sent a car into a pole along the Katy Freeway frontage road.
Houston police are investigating this fatal crash that shut down the westbound lanes of the frontage road at Gessner Drive for several hours.
The identity of the male victim, 25, died by the force of which wrapped the car around the pole.
Video shot by our Eyewitness News crew shows major damage to a dark, four-door vehicle. This crash happened only feet away from a fence.
