HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Parishioners at the Apostle Temple in northwest Houston are mourning the loss of one of their own after a senseless hit-and-run on Sunday morning.
According to police, 74-year-old Antonio Loreto was killed instantly after he was struck by a car while crossing FM 249 with his wife as they walked to church.
The driver did not stop, but family members and parishioners are hoping the responsible party will come forward.
"Your remorse has got to be eating at you. Turn yourself in," said Julio Piñeda, Loreto's son.
