HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Hundreds of Houston motorcycle riders hit the road Sunday morning to raise money in the fight against breast cancer.

Lisa Bryant started the organization "Ride with Me" five years ago.

Money raised helps fund mammograms and other services for breast cancer prevention. The ride also benefits the organization Angels Surviving, Inc., which helps women fighting breast cancer.

Bryant started the ride on behalf of her mother, a 20 year breast cancer survivor.

Bryant remembers how Angels Surviving Inc. helped her mom through the difficult time.

"One of the ladies from Angels Surviving Inc., her name was Ms. Cooper, came and sat with my mom 20 years ago to let her know it was going to be okay," said Lisa Bryant.

Each rider donated at least $20 for the cause. No word yet on how much money the event raise.
