Armed carjacking suspects captured after intense search in SW Houston
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say two armed carjacking suspects have been arrested after leading officers in a chase in southwest Houston.
HPD says the chase began just off the South Loop near Highway 288.
The men were allegedly inside a stolen car and at one point bailed out of the vehicle, running away from police.
With the aid of a police helicopter, the men were found around 4:30am in the area around Almeda and Holmes.
When our Eyewitness News crew arrived, there was a swarm of police activity as officers searched for the men.
Both were considered armed and dangerous by HPD. Fortunately, this incident has ended with both suspects in custody.
