Gun-owning customer shoots at a bank robber

HOMEWOOD, AL (KTRK) -- When someone tried to rob a bank in Homewood, Alabama.

It was one of the other customers who pulled out a gun.

Eric Dial shot at the bank robber, when he realized what was happening.

"I didn't know whether he had a weapon under the rag or not. You know. And I was trying to save my life, too. With bank robbers, anything can happen in a bank robbery, man. My first reaction was to save my life," said Eric Dial, bank customer.

Dial missed, and the man who robbed the bank ran out with the money.

Police officers caught their suspect outside of the bank.
