HOUSTON (KTRK) --Two Houston ISD schools were evacuated for a time due to a natural gas odor.
Students at Lawson Middle and Grissom Elementary were removed from their campuses Wednesday morning, but shortly before lunch time, they were bussed back to campus.
Concerns were originally raised over a natural gas odor. School officials learned from CenterPoint Energy that there was no leak impacting the school campuses and they are considered safe.
Parents were notified as the students were moved back and forth. Some parents arrived at the temporary location and were allowed to take their students home.
