HCSO: Man shoots ex-wife's boyfriend in NW Harris Co.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Investigators say a man was shot twice by his girlfriend's ex after an argument in north Harris Co.

The shooting happened around 3:43am on York Meadow near West Little York.

Investigators say the 22-year-old victim got into a fight after his girlfriend's common law ex-husband came to her apartment.

The woman's boyfriend was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries.

The ex-husband ran away from the scene. Harris County Sheriff's deputies are searching for him and are aware of his identity.

Deputies say he will face aggravated assault charges when he is caught.

There is no word yet on what the two men were fighting about.
