HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two women are in custody after a police chase in northeast Houston.

Late this morning, Houston Police say an officer spotted a car with stolen plates in the area of Aldine Westfield and Wimberly in north Houston. The driver refused to pull over, police say, and ended up in a minor crash with a pickup truck near Riner and the southbound feeder of the Eastex Freeway.

Police say the driver even tried to run on foot, but only made it about a block before police captured her.

Charges are pending against the two women.

Police are investigating how this happened, but they do believe the vehicle is stolen. There's no word on what the suspects were doing at the time police tried to pull them over.

As for the man in a black truck that collided with the suspects' silver sedan, he was not seriously hurt.

The silver sedan ended up in a ditch and the women inside a police car.
