The best priced printers for back-to-school

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Back to school means back to work for the kids and most will need to print out their school work.

Consumer Reports just released their best printers for the money.

1. Canon Pixma MG-6820

Reviews says this has an above-average performance at a nice price for $74.99.

It delivers color photos and double-sided pages of text and you can print files from your computer or your smartphone. But a warning with this one, the ink adds up.

2. Canon Maxify MB-2020

This costs $90 and has a lot of features like wireless connectivity plus a fax machine too.

3. Dell E514-DW

This printer is a workhorse so if you need to crank out page after page of text, this is a good choice. The price is about $100.

4. Epson Workforce Pro WF-4630

This one cost $200 but it excels where it counts. Printing text quickly and cheaply. It can pump out nearly 16 pages per minute. It also has a laundry list of functions.
