For students and parents needing answers to all their college application questions, there's a boot camp for that.

Fort Bend ISD is hosting students from three area school districts on August 9 and 10 for help getting those college applications and essays ready.

The FBISD Counseling and Post-Secondary Readiness Department will provide participants with information regarding college applications, essays, admission requirements and financial aid.

More than 30 colleges and universities will be on hand at this free event.

Pre-registration is required for the event. Students in Fort Bend, Lamar Consolidated or Needville ISD are invited to attend.

The first boot camp is at Travis High School on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 9am to 12pm. The school is located at 11111 Harlem Road, in Richmond.

The second boot camp is at Elkins High School on Wed., Aug. 10, from 9am to 12pm. The school is located at 7007 Knights Court, in Missouri City.

A general information session will happen from 9-9:45am, followed by a college fair from 9:45am to 10:15am. A computer lab will be available from 10:15am to noon.
