Search for new HISD chief narrows to include Calif. superintendent

HOUSTON -- The San Francisco school board tells Eyewitness News that Richard Carranza is a finalist for the HISD superintendent's job.
He is the current superintendent of the San Francisco Unified School District.
HISD will only say the school board will meet in the morning to discuss superintendent candidates and possibly announce a finalist, or finalists, for the position.
Current HISD superintendent Terry Grier is leaving the district.
