Man accused of possessing child pornography, explosives faces judge
Joshua Bishnow faces a string of charges after his arrest on Wednesday

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- We're getting our first look at a man arrested Wednesday on charges he possessed child pornography and explosives in northwest Harris County.

Joshua Bishnow, 25, faced a judge for the first time today. He was arrested after an Office Depot employee who was trying to repair his iPhone discovered a cache of photos depicting children in various sex acts.

In all, Harris County Sheriff's deputies say Bishnow had 867 pornographic images of children in his phone.

The judge in the case set bond conditions for Bishnow in probable cause court.

Investigators say two other people were arrested when a task force arrived at Bishnw's home on Wednesday. A man inside the home opened fire on deputies as they came to search the home.

Fortunately, no one was hurt, and two people were taken into custody.

As detectives were searching, they also found several explosives inside the home. We do not yet know why Bishnow had the explosives, and that is something investigators say they were trying to determine.

We do not yet know what charges the man and another person arrested at the home may face.
