First, you can save by shopping for discount gift cards.

You can purchase gift cards at a discount when you shop at online sites like www.GiftCardGranny.com.

We noticed AMC gift cards are going for as much as 21% off.

The Regal Entertainment Group has options up to 19% off.

If you'd rather purchase your gift cards in person, you can check out warehouse clubs.

Here you can save up to 25% off when you buy in bulk.

For example, right now on www.Costco.com's website you can purchase four $25 gift cards for $74.99.

In store the price is $79.99.

Also, you save money on concessions by joining the theater rewards program.

At Regal, it is half-off popcorn and candy on certain days and at AMC when you join it's free popcorn and soda upgrades.

Finally, you may not be able to catch this summer's blockbuster for a buck, but check out the big discounts on summer club movies for kids.

At participating Cinemark Theaters it's $5 for ten movies when you purchase in advance.

At Regal they call their program the 'Summer Movie Express', which is every Wednesday for a dollar a ticket.

And at Showbiz Cinemas in Kingwood, Baytown and Fall Creek, movie tickets are 50 cents on a specific day.
