Parents are upset after a bus driver refused to let children open their bus' windows

EVERETT, WA (KTRK) -- Video has been released of an April incident on a school bus in Washington state that has parents outraged.

The driver refused to let children open the windows on a day when temperatures topped 80 degrees.

One girl reportedly passed out and others got sick, local station KIRO reported.

The driver told the children that opening the windows would set off alarms.

A school official criticized the driver's actions and said there's no rule against opening bus windows.

The company that provides the bus service immediately pulled the driver off her route. KIRO reports she was eventually fired.
