HOUSTON (KTRK) --A father of three was shot and killed while trying to help a friend who was arguing with an ex-boyfriend.
Emmanuel Carrillo, 34, was shot to death around 6am at a home on McDaniel Street at Schneider Street, near the Hardy Toll Road.
Police say they were called out to the home after someone threatened to set a car on fire.
When officers arrived, they found Carrillo's body near a black car. Investigators say he had at least one gunshot wound.
A second gunshot victim, the woman's ex-boyfriend, was found in the driveway. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Officers say they are not looking for any suspects, but are now interviewing witnesses.
