HOUSTON (KTRK) --Jacqueline Belcher was calm after witnessing a high speed chase turned crash on Scott Street and Yellowstone in southeast Houston.
"That's when I seen cars coming and it hit the car and it spin around," said Belcher.

She even ran out of the car she was in to see if anyone needed help. Her daughter-in-law called 911.
"We were this close from getting hit," said Belcher.
When Belcher realized how close they were to ending up like the other mangled vehicles she burst into tears. Her two grandbabies were in the back seat.
"It would have been a real tragedy. God saved us. It was God that saved me and my grandkids," she said.
The chase only lasted 10 minutes. HPD said the silver SUV was reported stolen. They tried to pull the driver over on Scott and OST, but he refused to stop.
"Several times the suspect went the wrong way on several streets," said Victor Senties with HPD.
Eventually it was on Yellowstone and Scott where the suspect ran a red light. Surveillance video from a gas station captured the end of the chase.
"That's when you can see him run on through the light, hit the white car and the white car spun out of control and hit the black truck," said witness Tameka Moore.
It didn't stop there. The suspect took off on foot. Police eventually caught up to him five houses down but the damage was already done.
"I pray for the families that that happened to," said Belcher.
Two people in a white Nissan were taken to Ben Taub and Memorial Hermann hospitals in critical condition. The driver of the black KIA was OK.
