Family remembers teen, Christine Dobbyn reports.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Adriana Madrigal would give anything to see her son Adrian this Mother's Day.

"I miss him a lot," she said. This weekend marks the one year anniversary he was murdered.

"I don't have my son and it's really terrible, it's hard for me to be without him," said Adriana Madrigal.

A year after the murder and there has not been an arrest.

"We ask please help us, it's been a year, no leads, need your help," cousin Rigoberto Tovar said.

The teen was found dead in the middle of Burl Street on May 6, 2015. He has just left a friend's house and was driving his father's SUV.

"He was just a 16 year old boy who was very friendly with everybody," Hector Madrigal said.

Witnesses saw a man driving off in the SUV but he later dumped it and it was recovered. It now sits outside the family's home. Hector Madrigal says just a few tools were taken but they still don't understand why the teen's future was stolen.

"He visited a friend and five minutes later he was dead," said Hector Madrigal.

Crime Stoppers of Houston will pay up to $15,000 for information leading to the charging and/or arrest of the suspect(s) in this case. If you have information call 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submit online at www.crime-stoppers.org.
