Family distraught after man beaten to death during fight
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Many questions remain after a man was killed during a fist fight in Houston.
Houston Police arrived at a home on North York Street near Canal Street around 11:30pm to find an unresponsive man sitting in a chair.
Reinaldo Lerma was declared dead a short time later.
Witnesses told police Lerma and another man got into some sort of argument. At one point, both men began to fight, according to police. That is when investigators say Lerma was beaten to death.
The second man involved in the fist fight has been arrested. No word yet on any charges he may face.

Lerma's family arrived at the scene after he was declared dead and appeared visibly upset. He leaves behind a wife and a 10-month-old daughter.
Again, many questions are left unanswered this morning as to how the victim actually died.
Detectives say no one seems to know the reason the two men were fighting.
The victim's wife told abc13 reporter Marla Carter that Lerma had served 16 years in prison on an unknown charge. He was released in 2006.
Alcohol appears to have played a role, officers say.
